HSAW pipe.

Helical submerged arc welded steel pipe, manufactured to the dimensional, material and testing requirements of the project.

Our two-step mill supports API/ISO, ASTM and AWWA pipe requirements, including applications with sour-service requirements.

A two-step manufacturing route separates forming from final welding.

Form

Coil is uncoiled, flattened and helically formed into pipe, then tack welded.

Weld

Inside and outside spiral seams are submerged arc welded on four welding lines.

Inspect

Welds and pipe bodies undergo inspections and testing to the applicable specification.

Finish & deliver

Coating, end preparation and delivery planning complete the project scope.

Manufacturing and welding at the Jindal Tubular mill

Dedicated welding capability.

Four submerged arc welding lines weld the internal and external spiral seams. Digital welding systems and optical seam tracking support the manufacturing process.

Hydrostatic testing, automated ultrasonic inspection and radiography support the requirements of the applicable order. The in-house laboratory performs mechanical and chemical evaluation.
